What $300k Will Get You in Hoboken, NJ
JLP at AllThingsFinancial, has started a series about what $300K buys you in different areas of the country. Although there have already been several posts there representing the New York Metro area, there are none regarding my town of Hoboken.
A shame, because it has tons going for it – including no NYC income tax and slightly lower property taxes than City residents have to pay, while having comparable amenities. But $300k is a tough nut to crack in the metro area, and in Hoboken it snags you 600 square in this lovely building.
