StockPickr
We have been playing around with James Altucher’s StockPickr social investing site, which allows users to enter a portfolio and see other portfolios that contain similar stocks along with the reasons others gave for liking or disliking them.
Admittedly we typically rely more on our own research than that of others, but we are intrigued by the idea of social investing and entered a portfolio in order to test the waters. It is based on our recent article on inflation (PPI) by industry and the stocks that may do well or poorly based on their industry’s pricing power. We won’t really know how much we like the social aspect until we start interacting with it.
