The Week Ahead
Oracle (ORCL - Annual Report) reports earnings on Tuesday. Wall Street expects $0.35 in EPS on $5.6 billion in sales. The company has beaten numbers in three of the last four quarters and estimates have been creeping up, yet it has garnered a middling Zacks Rank of 3 (average) for earnings momentum. I still like what they are doing but the recent run-up leaves me somewhat nervous about the valuation.Important events on the Economic Calendar include:
- Retail Sales (Wednesday.)
- PPI (Thursday.) Look for my typical industry trends report.
- CPI (Friday.)
A little slow, still, but pre-announcement season should be heating up.
